What are the challenges posed by the advanced technologies facing the international community? This project treats interacts with security, industry, and information and communication technology (ICT) as a trinity, exploring the impacts and challenges of advanced technology on international relations. Topics covered include the dynamics between advanced technology and International order, U.S. high-tech R&D policy, U.S. high-tech talent transfer at the industrial and security sector, China's digital economy, China's defense procurement of advanced technology, the implications for international strategic stability caused by advanced technology, strategies for public diplomacy by using ICT, and policies of protecting advanced technologies. This project will hold study group meetings and citizen-participation workshops. In the meetings, presentations by project members and Q&A session will be held, and observers from government officials will be invited. Workshops, similar to science café, will be held to bridge between researchers and citizens through dialogues. In addition, based on these meetings and workshops, we will publish an introductory version of the book, and make these findings public.
