In this project, we see that an effective preventive program is not implemented in practice (evidence-practice gap) and there is no knowledge infrastructure such as a national research institute looking at the whole in child welfare area (thinktank gap). We plan to have 3 steps ; 1) modeling workings of knowledge brokering in child welfare area, 2) conducting an action research for Japanese eco-system of child welfare by using implementation science framework. In addition, 3) with participation of stakeholders such as grant foundations and non-profit organizations, a cross-sectoral roundtable will be held as recommendations and incentives for ecosystem formation.
Thus, the social implementation of the preventive program in child welfare area will be experimentally facilitated, so that practitioners could reflectively go back and forth between theory and practice more easily by the multi-layered system. Simultaneously, it is expected that the knowledge brokering model examined in child welfare area will be expanded to other social services areas where interpersonal support is provided.
